Your interview is coming up and you’re mostly excited, but also a little nervous. Take a deep breath. We’ll calm all of your nerves with these interview tips!

The most important thing to remember is to be yourself! It sounds cliché, but it’s the truth. You’re talking about your passion for YOUR business. No one can tell your business’ story better than you!

Secondly, think about what you like to see in your favorite business’ videos! Once you think about what you like to see as a consumer, you’ll have a clearer idea of what you’d like to talk about in your interview.

Here’s a few sample questions to get your mind jogging:

What was your inspiration to start you business?

Only you know the answer to this question. Get into the special “aha” moments of what made you want to start your passion project. People love seeing the emotional journey behind businesses.

What makes your business unique?

You have free reign to get into the heart of your business here. What makes you stand out against your competitors in your industry? Is it your price? Your service? Your experience? All the above? It’s best to hone in on one differentiating factor.

What’s the philosophy of your brand?

Divulge the values at the center of your business. Think about how you’d describe your business in a few sentences!

These are just a few questions to help you think through the points you’d like to get across in your interview. Remember, the most important part is to be yourself and show your passion for your business. People want to see why you love your business, that way they can love it too! The more sincere the answer, the better.
We’re confident that you’re all set to go - we’ll see you soon!
